Sydney Song Prize
Congratulations to Phoebe Humphreys and Benjamin Burton on winning the inaugural Sydney Song Prize and Richard Bonynge Accompanists Prize.
The inaugural 2017 Sydney Song Prize is to promote the study and performance of German Lieder and French Mélodie.
Final: 13 September, 2017 at 6.30pm
2017 Criteria – open to all Australian citizens and permanent residents.
Age for Singers: 20-35 years of 1 April 2017
Age for Accompanists: 20-40 years as of 1 April 2017
Entrants are required to present 2 German Lied and 2 French Mélodie.
2017 PRIZES – Total Value over $6,000
Judges for the Heats: Deborah Humble and Adele Johnston
Judges for the Final: Richard Bonynge AC CBE, Glenn Winslade, Adele Johnston.

The Sydney Song Prize is presented by the JS RB Foundation as part of its education and support of young singers. The Finals will be held in conjunction with the Lieder section of this year’s Elizabeth Connell Prize.
